QA Engineer

Job Purpose Responsible for manufacturing processes compliant with quality standards. Support customers in failure analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective, containment and preventive actions. Assist customer focus team in resolving quality issues following quality standard practices. Develop and implement a plan for lean/6 Sigma deployment within the plant, provide progress reports and action plans for lean/6 Sigma implementation, and perform other quality related activities as needed. Responsibilities Develop, evaluate, revise, and apply technical quality assurance protocols and methods to inspect and test in‑process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensure activities and items are compliant with company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Perform analysis and identify trends in the inspection of finished products, in‑process materials, bulk raw materials, and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Ensure that established manufacturing inspection, sampling, and statistical process control procedures are followed. Assure compliance with in‑house and/or external specifications and standards such as GMPs, ISO 9000 and TL 9000, evaluate and analyze the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of two years related experience. Six Sigma and/or Lean‑Kaizen experience is a plus. Proficiency in computer skills. Personable and able to interface well with customers. Contract manufacturing experience preferred. Salary and Benefits Salary range (annual): $80,000 – $90,000. Actual base pay within this range will be based on a candidate’s years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is one element of our total rewards package.
