Job Title: RN CVICU-Peds Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience required Description: The position requires experience in a pediatric cardiovascular ICU. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:1 for ICU status, 1:2 for intermediate care, and 1:3 for stepdown or overflow units. The unit comprises 24 beds for pediatric cardiac ICU and a 12-bed overflow unit. Care involves patients with congenital heart disease or defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD. The age range of patients is from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult congenital heart disease patients.
