Assistant Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift: Rockford, Illinois

Our customer in Rockford, Illinois is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join their team. We're recruiting an Assistant Production Supervisor to work full-time on 2nd shift. As an Assistant Production Supervisor, you will support daily manufacturing operations, help lead production employees, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and assist in achieving production goals.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Production Supervisor :

• Assist the Production Supervisor in overseeing daily production activities.
• Lead and support production team members to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Becomes familiar and proficient with the operational aspects of all equipment assigned to the area.
• Monitor workflow and staffing levels to ensure efficient operations.
• Train, coach, and develop production employees.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate solutions with maintenance and management.
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure products meet customer and company quality standards.

Assistant Production Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications:

• Prefer a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education preferred.
• Ability to work with close tolerances.
• Proficient in use of common measuring devices such as tapes, micrometers, and calipers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team in a fast-paced production environment.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay for Assistant Production Supervisor : Starting at $24-30/hour.
