Contract | Onsite | Monday – Thursday, 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM EST; on-call, callback, and holiday coverage per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to promote comfort and understanding
• Insert IVs when necessary and position patients appropriately, utilizing safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records by documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and ensuring correct transmission to the PACS system upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment

Required Qualifications

• Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Active certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum of two (2) years of CT Technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Injection certification preferred; candidates willing to complete certification during orientation will be considered
• Familiarity with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a patient and compassionate disposition
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
