In this key position, you'll lead efforts to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, while driving initiatives that promote a culture of well‑being and responsible practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding our employees and enhancing our commitment to environmental stewardship. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Lead and coordinate EHS training programs for employees to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols and best practices. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑mises to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures. Collaborate with management and staff to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes and decision‑making. Maintain and analyze EHS performance metrics and reports to assess the effectiveness of safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement. Liaise with regulatory bodies and external agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant EHS legislation and standards. Develop and oversee emergency response and preparedness plans, including coordinating drills and exercises. Manage the EHS budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support safety objectives. Lead and participate in EHS committees and meetings to foster a culture of safety throughout the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety management. In‑depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.). Proven track record of developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Competence in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies. Experience in safety training and emergency response planning. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in EHS management systems and software. Certification in EHS‑related programs (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred. Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis. Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. Willingness to travel as required.
