About the Position

Locum Anesthesiologist — Waterloo, Iowa

2 FT Locums Anesthesiologists ASAP. FT preferred; 2 wks/mo considered.

Schedule
• Start: Jun 29 — ongoing
• Mon–Fri, 6:30a–4:30p
• Weekend call only; 1st call called in ~75%
• Night call: q3–4 days, 7 days/wk
• No clinic

Coverage Needed
• Nov 23 wk — no Thanksgiving
• Dec 21 wk — no Christmas
• Dec 28 wk — no New Year’s Day
• Need 2 providers each wk

⚕️ Role
• Pre-op eval + intra-op monitoring
• General anesthesia, OB incl. TOLAC
• Healthy peds mostly T&A
• Conscious sedation req.
• No hearts / no neuro

Team / Volume
• Some supervision
• Group: 6 MDs + 2 CRNAs
• 13 ORs
• Dept volume: 30–50 cases/day
• EMR: Epic

✅ Requirements
• BC req.; no BE
• Active IA license or IMLC LOQ
• ACLS req.; can obtain during cred.
• Avail. 2 wks/mo in 2027
• Must cover all 3 listed wks
• COVID vaccine req.
• Call req.
• Clean malpractice/background; no pending or settled cases
