ANALYST III (LIMITED TERM FULL-TIME) - HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION / RISK MANAGEMENT / SACRAMENTO, CA
The reporting location for this position is Sacramento Headquarters. Under the general direction of the of Supervisor I, Risk Management Unit (RMU), the Analyst III serves as the highly skilled Wellness Coordinator and functions as the Department's expert responsible for the development, implementation, administration, and evaluation of comprehensive wellness and peer support, as well as employee well-being initiatives.
The incumbent operates with a high degree of independence and advanced professional expertise to design, implement, and oversee programs that promote employee well-being, reduce organizational risk, and strengthen the Department's capacity to support staff following critical incidents, while also providing expert consultation to leadership, managing sensitive and high-impact projects, and ensuring that all wellness strategies align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and best practices in behavioral health and employee support. The Analyst III also serves as the Department's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Coordinator and provides expert consultation, training, and program oversight department wide. The position collaborates closely with the Peer Support Program Coordinator and may receive general direction from the Law Enforcement Emergency Services (LEES) Division Assistant Chief regarding Peer Support Program activities. These responsibilities require advanced analytical skills, discretion, and the ability to lead sensitive, department-wide initiatives.
This position is a 12 - month Limited-Term position that may be extended and/or become permanent.
