Guest Service Representative (Part Time)

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY The guest service representative position demonstrates a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. The role is responsible for assisting guests at all times, checking in and checking guests out in accordance with company guidelines and procedures, completing all necessary front office daily paperwork, and ensuring safety and security procedures are in place for all associates and guests. KEY JOB DUTIES Provide 100% commitment to guest and associate experience. Assist guests at all times and respond promptly to all guest requests. Process reservations, registration, payment, and departures per company guidelines. Sell the value of ESA to all inquiries via telephone and in‑person and convert them into reservations and occupied rooms in compliance with company standards. Collect relevant guest information, probe for potential sales leads, and identify opportunities. Resolve guest issues through the Make it Right process. Handle collection efforts of all in‑house balances and account for all cash, check, credit card, and city ledger transactions through the property management system. Maintain a thorough understanding of the property management system, process all shift reports, and perform audit functions when necessary. Set up, maintain, and take down breakfast when required by time of day. Maintain an organized and clean work area behind the front desk, lobby, and guest commons in compliance with company standards. Conduct periodic tours of the property to ensure safety and security of all associates and guests; report all safety and security issues directly to the manager. OTHER DUTIES Assist with cleaning any and all assigned hotel areas, including front desk, associate break room, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas. Cross‑train into housekeeping and laundry areas to provide assistance as needed. Maintain overall hotel cleanliness and perform any other duties requested by the management team. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONTEXT Part‑time – 2–3 shifts per week only; not full‑time. Work schedule varies and includes holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts of 7 am‑3 pm and 3 pm‑11 pm. Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching; stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
