Job Responsibilities

• Lead residential HVAC system replacements and change-outs, including split systems, furnaces, condensers, heat pumps, and air handlers.
• Safely remove and dispose of existing HVAC equipment.
• Install new systems according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
• Install and braze refrigerant line sets, pressure test, evacuate, and properly charge systems.
• Perform complete system start-ups and commissioning.
• Verify proper airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, drainage, and overall system performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, office staff, and team members.
• Supervise and train installation helpers and apprentices.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites, tools, and company vehicles.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience performing residential HVAC installations and complete system change-outs.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC installation procedures, equipment, and safety practices.
• Ability to independently complete installations from start to finish.
• Experience with brazing, pressure testing, vacuum procedures, and refrigerant charging.
• Ability to perform proper system start-ups and verify equipment operation.
• Ability to lead a crew and maintain quality workmanship.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Professional attitude, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Verifiable employment history and professional references.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-efficiency HVAC systems and inverter technology.
• Sheet metal fabrication and ductwork experience.
• NATE certification or additional HVAC technical training.
• Experience completing installation and start-up documentation.
• Ability to read load calculations and system design layouts.
