Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN skilled in orthopedic surgeries, including total joint and spine procedures, for a hospital OR position with no weekends or holidays.

Job Details

• Hospital operating room setting handling 40-60 cases per day,
• Scrub role for orthopedic procedures, including total joint replacements (hips, knees, shoulders) and orthopedic spine cases,
• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, scheduled 0700-1730,
• No weekend shifts and no floating required,
• On-call requirement of 2-3 twelve-hour weekend call shifts within a six-week period,
• Uses Epic EMR,
• One week of floor orientation provided,
• Maroon scrubs provided,

Job Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license,
• BLS certification (must be AHA),
• CNOR certification preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required,
• Must be able to start IVs,
• Must be able to scrub orthopedic total joint and spine procedures,

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care during orthopedic surgical procedures,
• One major holiday coverage required, no minor holidays,
• No call responsibilities outside of the specified weekend rotation
