HSS is seeking an experienced  Security Manager for our client located in the  Ocean City, MD area .

We are seeking a safety and security professional to oversee the day-to-day security operations of a full-service resort property. This role is responsible for protecting guests, employees, and property while developing and implementing effective safety, security, and emergency response programs. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, investigative, and problem-solving skills and be comfortable working throughout a large property.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel safety and security operations.
• Supervise and coordinate the property's security team and daily activities.
• Develop, review, maintain, and implement fire prevention, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Oversee parking operations, including parking permits, decals, and citations.
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify fire, safety, and security risks and implement corrective measures.
• Prepare reports, work orders, and documentation related to safety and security operations.
• Investigate accidents, theft, property loss, and other unlawful activities.
• Respond to emergencies, including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to guests, employees, or property.
• Coordinate safety training, including CPR, fire and life safety systems, workplace violence prevention, and related programs.
• Serve as a liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
• Respond to guest questions, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist with team member scheduling, supervision, performance management, coaching, evaluations, and professional development.
• Participate in the hiring and training of security team members.
• Promote a safe environment for guests, employees, and property while helping prevent incidents that could negatively impact the resort.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel, resort, security, safety, or related operations.
• Knowledge of fire prevention, safety, and security procedures.
• Strong management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience responding to emergency situations and security incidents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to work throughout the property and conduct regular safety and security inspections.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is competitive and based on experience.

Additional compensation may include discretionary bonus opportunities.
