Available Shifts:

• 2nd Shift : Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Clamp Truck Operator to support roll room and corrugator operations in a manufacturing environment in Middletown, NY. This role is responsible for safely handling roll stock, unloading materials, staging inventory, and supporting production schedules. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for reliable, safety-focused operators.

Clamp Truck Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate a clamp truck safely while performing daily equipment inspections
• Transport paper rolls to and from the corrugator using RF scanning systems
• Scan, stage, and organize full and partial rolls by size, grade, and location
• Read and interpret corrugator schedules, lineups, and paper specifications
• Unload inbound shipments from trailers or rail cars and inspect materials upon receipt
• Identify and report damaged rolls and inventory discrepancies
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the roll room and surrounding work areas
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and assist with weekly equipment checks
• Monitor propane tank usage and ensure proper storage and refueling
• Work closely with the corrugator and warehouse teams to meet daily production goals

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience operating a clamp truck or forklift (certification preferred)
• Basic reading, math, and computer skills
• Ability to read a tape measure and operate RF scanning equipment
• Experience in a corrugated packaging or roll room environment is a plus
• Familiarity with corrugator department operations highly desirable
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity standards

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 100 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, and equipment operation
• Occasional bending, climbing, and working around moving machinery
• Work environment includes loud noise, vibration, and industrial conditions
• Hearing protection required
