Ignite Connections Through Communication in Thriving Arlington – Discover Your New Journey as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career that not only empowers individuals but also enriches lives daily. As a Speech Language Pathologist stepping into one of the most engaging cities in Texas, your contributions will extend far beyond treating communication and swallowing disorders. You will be instrumental in helping people reclaim their voices, rebuild their confidence, and foster connections — from young children articulating their first words to older adults rediscovering their ability to communicate effectively.
This unique role gives you the chance to work with a diverse range of patients, offering both outpatient therapy as well as occasional inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in aiding children's language acquisition, assisting adults with neurogenic communication challenges, or focusing on cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for the elderly, you will find both fulfillment and flexibility here.
Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through a combination of standardized assessments and clinical observation.
Craft individualized treatment plans targeting specific short and long-term needs related to communication, cognitive function, or swallowing.
Implement tailored speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to create a unified approach to patient care.
Provide valuable education and resources to patients and their families to support their progress beyond therapy sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless care experience for all patients.
Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in strict accordance with organizational and legal standards.
Engage in continuous professional development and remain informed about the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be attained within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment practices spanning all ages, alongside a robust understanding of developmental and acquired disorders in speech, language, and swallowing.
Exceptional communication skills enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Adept at modifying therapeutic techniques to respect and meet diverse cultural and linguistic needs.
Strong clinical judgment complemented by problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable with electronic health records and documentation protocols.
Attractive compensation reflecting your experience and expertise.
Flexible working hours designed to promote a healthy work-life balance and accommodate varied caseloads.
Options to specialize further in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
Support for continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
A collaborative environment that prioritizes high-quality care and continuous learning.
In this role, you will not merely provide therapy; you will become an integral part of a mission centered on restoring voices, enhancing communication, and cultivating joy. You will join a community of clinicians who treat one another like family, working in an environment that values cooperation over competition. Each patient carries a unique story; we trust you to be a fundamental part of how those stories unfold.
