Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Your expertise will ensure seamless warehouse operations, supporting order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and timely deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving logistics environment where your skills in warehouse management systems, equipment operation, and inventory control will shine.

*Additionally, we are seeking a bilingual candidate who can communicate with truck drivers and warehouse staff during normal business hours. We prefer a candidate who is fluent in English / Spanish.

Duties

• Receive incoming shipments by inspecting, verifying quantities, and recording details using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately for delivery or transfer.
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and MRPs to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Manage stock levels through regular stocking, order picking, and inventory updates within the warehouse distribution system.
• Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all shipping and receiving activities using AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout for efficient order fulfillment and stock movement.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with a focus on shipping & receiving operations.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and ERP platforms such as AS400 or MRP systems.
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
• Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking & packing, load & unload procedures, and inventory management.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
• Familiarity with e-commerce logistics workflows is a plus.
