Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Description Full‑time Speech Language Pathologist position beginning in the 2026‑2027 school year, with a start date of August 2026. The role is FTE 1.0 (192 contract days), classified as licensed, and reports to the Director of Student Supports. The primary responsibility is to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational services to students, promoting their intellectual, physical, emotional, and psychological growth. Salary is based on relevant education and experience per the Licensed Salary Schedule ( Minimum Qualifications Basic or Standard Speech‑Impaired License or Initial or Continuing Communication Disorders License. Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology. State Board license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred. Other qualifications as established by the District. Essential Functions Be punctual and attend regularly. Screen and evaluate referred students. Schedule speech and language services with identified students. Provide direct instruction to students needing speech and language service. Keep records and write reports on students. Prepare evaluation reports. Develop speech and language materials. Develop and implement IEPs. Confer with District staff, parents, outside agencies, and other individuals regarding assigned students. Maintain on‑task behavior of students. Serve on Student Intervention Teams. Prepare and plan in all areas of responsibility. Screen hearing of students. Be responsible for assigned classroom supplies and equipment. Attend meetings as scheduled. Direct instructional assistant activities. Perform other related duties as assigned by the director or designee to assure the physical and/or emotional well‑being of students. Adhere to the policies of the District as well as any administrative or building rules and procedures. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to speech, language, and hearing‑impaired children. Team leadership, decision‑making, and communication‑disorder–focused skills. Familiarity with elementary, middle, and high‑school age students. Ability to organize and schedule activities. Ability to plan and maintain accurate plan records. Job Requirements Position Type: Full‑Time. Salary: $57,680 to $108,610 Per Year.
