Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vitals; administer medications and follow orders; support labor progress and analgesia as directed. Perform newborn assessments, assist with newborn transition, and support discharge planning and patient education. Respond to obstetric emergencies, maintain patient safety, and collaborate with the obstetric team, anesthesia, and nursery staff. Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care, assessments, and care plans; ensure safe handoffs between shifts and units. Uphold infection prevention and sterile technique; demonstrate independence in L&D, obstetric triage, postpartum, and newborn care settings. Requirements Active RN license (any U.S. territory acceptable) at time of submission. Minimum 3 years of RN experience with the last 2 years in the L&D specialty. Certifications required at submission: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA NRP, and AWHONN. Ability to work in a hospital setting with rotating day/night schedules (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). Demonstrated ability to independently function in L&D, OB triage, immediate postpartum care, and newborn transition.
