Why You'll Love Working Here $32.44–$39.54 per hour Comprehensive benefits package with low employee health insurance costs 10.6% employer contribution to the municipal pension plan Generous paid time off, and SO much more Four-day workweek during the summer Stable, year-round municipal employment Meaningful work that serves the community What You'll Do You'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of municipal vehicles and equipment, including: Light- and medium-duty vehicles Heavy-duty dump trucks and snowplows Loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment Emergency response vehicles During winter operations, you'll also operate snow removal equipment—including plow trucks, wing trucks, and loaders—to help keep Stowe's roads safe and accessible. Qualifications Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light- to heavy-duty vehicles and equipment Vermont Inspection Mechanic Certification Valid Vermont CDL (Class A or B) Experience operating plow trucks and wing trucks preferred Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Ability to respond to emergencies, including nights, weekends, and snow events Join the Team That Keeps Stowe Running!
