The Supervisory Medical Support Assistant works collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model and performs all related duties; customer service and other duties assigned for the proper and timely treatment of patients and assure appointment schedules are maintained by MSA staff for one or more outpatient clinics. He/she must assist with clinic access contingency plans by adjusting appointment times, location, or dates as well as shift patients to other health care providers as conflict with staffing and/or coverage occurs. Serves as an administrative liaison and provides direction to staff, residents/trainees, and volunteers. Assists Service Chief, Site Chiefs, Administrative Officers, and other Clinical Supervisors in performance measures, suspense items, and deadline responsibilities in a timely manner. Generates return to clinic order report weekly and utilizes the report to ensure all return to clinic orders are completed daily. Has responsibility for reminding clinical staff of incomplete encounters, unsigned notes, and discharge summaries that require action. Coordinates, prepares, and submits clinical profiles and clinic cancellation memorandums as requested and forwards for final approval per policy. Verifies clinics are properly blocked in sufficient time and that all patients have been rescheduled and notified according to policy. Responsible for preparing performance appraisal plans, competencies, reports, and participating in folder audits. Obtains and monitors the use of services, supplies, or equipment for the office and delivers these materials to the clinic for staff use.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases

Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
