Agile Scrum Master

Scrum Master Opportunity

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a hybrid position (minimum 3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Key responsibilities for this role include optimizing the flow of work and the value delivered for medium to high complexity projects and programs, ensuring transparency, alignment, and consistent execution. The Scrum Master is expected to be proactive, a self-starter, and effective at identifying and removing impediments quickly. This role also requires the ability to coach teams and stakeholders to operate with greater business agility, fostering adaptability, continuous improvement, and sustained performance improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, using JIRA as the system of record for planning, execution, and tracking
• Promote business agility by enabling teams to adapt quickly to change, pivot when needed, and continuously align delivery to evolving business priorities
• Provide clear, timely visibility into the team's delivery plans, progress, and risks to stakeholders through effective communication, dashboards, and reporting
• Proactively manage risk, including dependency management, impediment removal, and compliance with Enterprise Change Management and other policy requirements
• Apply and produce meaningful delivery and flow metrics to assess team performance, maturity, and outcomes
• Partner closely with Product Owners and product stakeholders to ensure a healthy, prioritized Product and Sprint Backlog with high quality, actionable content
• Provide coaching and mentoring to help teams achieve sustained, high performance, with a focus on continuous improvement, collaboration, and adoption of effective work management practices
• Lead and support scaled planning activities, including Pre Planning/Preparation and Program Increment Planning events, and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and Agile Release Train syncs

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Agile & Scrum facilitation
• Experience with delivery and risk management
• Knowledge of flow metrics and reporting
• Proficiency with JIRA and other agile tooling
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
• Strong coaching and leadership abilities
• Must be a self-starter who identifies problems early, drives resolution, and communicates clearly

Desired Skills:

• Fluent in Jira, SCRUM and Agile framework
• Able to lead and program manage and drive outcomes
• Demonstrated leadership and insight into outcomes
• Preferred knowledge in Identity Management, including Active Directory, Vaulting and Cryptography

Pay range: $ 63.94 - $71.94 per hour
