Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility located in Eureka, California. This role involves providing postpartum, labor, and newborn care within a high-risk obstetrics environment. The position starts on July 27, 2026, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care for a culturally diverse population, including high-risk cesarean sections and postpartum management.

Job Details:

• Location: Eureka, California
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours shift hours, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
• Start Date: 07/27/2026
• Schedule: Self-schedule, with coverage required on weekends and major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Required Qualifications: Valid California state RN license, minimum 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, Certification in ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP, Epic charting system experience, recent charge nurse or patient ratio experience of 1-3, and recent travel experience preferred
• Skills and Responsibilities: Administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, antepartum, high-risk delivery assistance, sterile speculum exams, vaginal delivery assistance, cesarean section circulation, neonatal assessments, postpartum hemorrhage management, IV therapy, fetal monitoring (external and internal), and supporting high-risk obstetrical patients
• Additional Requirements: Willingness to work two of the three major holidays, SSN, DOB, and RTO documentation at submission, two recent references covering the past year, and the ability to float within scope as needed
• Facility Details: Care for high-risk obstetrical patients, culturally diverse population, with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams. Average daily census of 15-20 patients in an 11-room, 15-bed unit.
