Job Requirements

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — eligible to work as a travel nurse in Florida
  
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR or Operating Room RN experience; perioperative/cardiovascular surgical experience preferred
  
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
  
• Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular surgical procedures and intraoperative monitoring
  
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities with surgical and multidisciplinary teams
  
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced operating room environment
  

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
  
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team throughout CVOR procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
  
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond to changes in condition promptly
  
• Maintain a sterile, organized, and safe operating room environment consistent with CVOR protocols
  
• Accurately document patient care, time-outs, counts, and surgical events in the medical record
  
• Collaborate with anesthesia, perfusion, and post-op teams to support optimal patient outcomes in a cardiovascular surgical setting
