Position Overview

The IT Data Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining critical business data across multiple enterprise systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys working with technology, collaborating across departments, and translating business needs into actionable data solutions.

The IT Data Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, executive leadership, product development, IT, and external software vendors, ensuring that inventory and operational data are effectively managed across the organization. This role will also play an important part in optimizing the company's software ecosystem by identifying opportunities for process improvement, system enhancements, and technology adoption.

Responsibilities

• Clean, validate, and maintain data accuracy across multiple business systems
• Import, update, and manage data within core platforms, including Coins, Procore, ToolWatch, Velocity, and other enterprise applications
• Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory-related data and system management
• Monitor and maintain IT systems that contain inventory, operational, and business-critical data
• Partner closely with product development and other cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and system enhancements
• Gather requirements from stakeholders, including executive and C-suite leadership, to identify reporting, system, and data management needs
• Analyze data trends and provide insights to support operational decision-making
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data documentation
• Assist with system administration tasks, data governance efforts, and process improvements
• Evaluate and learn new software applications as business needs evolve
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues
• Serve as a liaison between the business and third-party software vendors to ensure systems effectively support operational needs
• Evaluate existing software platforms and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, functionality, automation, and data quality
• Collaborate with software providers to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and optimize system performance
• Participate in vendor meetings, product demonstrations, and roadmap discussions to advocate for business requirements
• Recommend process improvements, system integrations, and automation opportunities across the organization's technology stack
• Assist with the implementation, testing, and adoption of new software solutions and system upgrades
• Maintain relationships with software partners and coordinate support requests, feature enhancements, and issue resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, data management, data entry, business systems administration, or a related field
• Experience working with multiple software systems, databases, and business applications simultaneously
• Experience participating in software selection, system enhancement, digital transformation, or process improvement initiatives
• Experience with SQL for querying, reporting, and analyzing data is a plus
• Experience supporting inventory management, construction, manufacturing, or operational business systems is a plus
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical discussions with vendors and IT teams
• Comfortable learning, evaluating, and navigating new software platforms
• Familiarity with ERP, project management, asset management, or inventory management platforms such as Coins, Procore, ToolWatch, and Velocity
• Experience working directly with software vendors, implementation partners, or SaaS providers
• Understanding of software evaluation, implementation, and optimization best practices
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, data manipulation, reporting, and analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative
• Naturally curious with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Able to build strong relationships across departments and gather requirements effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity

• The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
