What You'll Do
As Area Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for multiple high-volume restaurant locations, driving performance through operational excellence, talent development, and disciplined financial management.
You will:
- Lead, coach, and develop a portfolio of General Managers and their leadership teams
- Drive sales growth, profitability, and operational execution across all assigned locations
- Own market-level P&L performance, including labor management, food cost controls, and overall margin optimization
- Conduct regular operational reviews and restaurant visits to ensure excellence in food quality, cleanliness, speed of service, and guest experience
- Improve drive-thru performance, throughput, delivery execution, and overall operational efficiency
- Build strong talent pipelines through recruiting, retention, succession planning, and leadership development
- Analyze business metrics and create actionable plans that drive measurable results
- Support new restaurant openings, acquisitions, remodels, and organizational growth initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all company, brand, food safety, and regulatory standards
- Partner closely with senior leadership to execute market growth strategies and operational objectives
What We're Looking For
Mandatory Qualifications
- 5+ years of Fast Food / QSR management experience
- 2+ years of multi-unit drive-thru management experience
- Minimum 1 year of Area Manager experience within a Fast Food / QSR environment
- Currently serving as an Area Manager in a QSR organization
- Demonstrated career stability and progression (approximately 3 employers in 6 years or 4 employers within 8–10 years)
- Proven success managing high-volume restaurant operations and multiple General Managers
Preferred Background
- Strong understanding of labor management, food cost controls, and prime cost optimization
- Experience leading high-volume drive-thru operations
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret operational and financial reporting
- Experience with restaurant technology platforms, POS systems, labor scheduling tools, and performance dashboards
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain certification during onboarding
