They support their families and build long term careers they are proud of.Auburn Gear is proud to offer competitive benefits to our employees:Competitive hourly wagePaid holidays and vacation daysExcellent medical benefit package- available on the 1st day of the following month of your date of hire401k plan with company match!Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:Operation and set-up of machining centers and lathesAbility to change and maintain toolingAbility to read and interpret blueprints and operation sheetsAbility to read and understand gauges and other measuring devicesBasic knowledge of 6S safety and ISO organizational standardsAbility to accurately perform mathematical computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, also basic knowledge of percentages and decimals as related to manufacturingAble to meet specific deadlinesInterface with all departments and levels of managementEducation and Qualifications:1-3 years' experience in operation and set-up of machining centers and lathes1-3 years' experience in tooling changeovers, building up tools and touching off toolingExperience in setting up Gear Shapers is highly valued!1-3 years' experience using gauges such as micrometers and calipersExperience with bar code scanning regarding product movement, preferredHigh school diploma or equivalentComputer Skills:To perform this job successfully the following computer proficiencies are desired: Internet Explorer; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
