Clinical Pharmacist - Emergency Medicine

Pharmacists work closely with other health care practitioners to meet the various needs of our patients. Pharmacists review and approve medication orders, monitor drug therapies, and provide drug information. They improve the health of patients by providing pharmaceutical care to individual patients and by serving as a resource to physicians, nurses, and other health professionals. Pharmacists take on charge responsibility and supervise and direct support staff. Clinical Pharmacists must have the ability to work independently with minimal to no direct supervision. They must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. The Clinical Pharmacist assumes direct responsibility of medication distribution, IV admixtures, safety and efficacy of prescribed drug therapy in accordance with laws and regulations governing pharmacists and the practice of pharmacy by the appropriate state and federal agencies. #J-18808-Ljbffr EM pharmacists
