Child Neurologist - Cook Children's, Lubbock, TX

Location & Shift Location: Lubbock Regional Specialty Clinic. Department: Lubbock-Neuro. Shift: First Shift. Standard Weekly Hours: 40. Summary Cook Children's Medical Center seeks a board certified or board eligible child neurologist to provide outpatient neurology care at the Lubbock location with inpatient consultations at Covenant Children’s Hospital. Subspecialty clinics for epilepsy and movement disorders are provided monthly by staff from the main campus with telemedicine consults available as needed. Call duties are shared with Cook Children’s physicians serving West Texas, with additional support from main campus faculty. Responsibilities Deliver outpatient neurology care to pediatric patients in Lubbock. Provide inpatient consultations at Covenant Children’s Hospital. Participate in monthly subspecialty clinics (epilepsy, movement disorders) and telemedicine consults. Share call responsibilities with regional physicians and main campus faculty. Teach medical students and neurology residents at Texas Tech. Engage in academic teaching and research opportunities. Program Highlights Faculty team of 20 pediatric neurologists, 8 advanced practice providers, 3 pediatric neurosurgeons, 1 physiatrist, 4 neuropsychologists. 10‑bed epilepsy monitoring unit and active epilepsy surgery program (~40 surgeries/yr) with access to 3T MRI, intra‑operative MRI, magnetoencephalography, PET, SPECT, fMRI, TMS, HD‑EEG. 26‑bed neuro‑rehabilitation unit. Comprehensive headache, stroke, movement disorder, and epilepsy programs for patient referral. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.). Completed ACGME or AMA approved pediatrics residency. Board certified or board eligible in pediatric neurology. Unrestricted Texas medical license (to be obtained prior to start date).
