About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Impact Officer (CIO) to lead its global program and ensure that the organization's work in international ocean conservation translates into measurable impact. The CIO will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, delivery, and monitoring of programs aimed at countering illegal fishing, strengthening marine protection, and promoting transparency in ocean governance. This role requires a collaborative leader with a proven track record in international marine conservation, partnership development, and engagement with senior government officials. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at balancing long-term goals with agile execution, and will be expected to drive program innovation, manage a multidisciplinary team, and foster a culture of inclusion and continuous learning. Candidates for the CIO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree highly preferred, and demonstrate senior-level experience in designing and managing large-scale programs for governance reform in the context of international ocean conservation. Deep technical knowledge of global marine conservation issues and international ocean policies is essential. The role demands a leader with superlative diplomatic, negotiation, and advocacy skills, capable of building and navigating complex partnerships. The CIO will also be responsible for financial management, including budget oversight and fundraising, and must be an exceptional communicator, able to represent the organization at high-level international events. Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in Spanish and/or French highly preferred. The position is remote, and the candidate must be authorized to work in the specified countries without visa sponsorship.
