Construction Project Manager - Geotechnical Construction

Required Experience

• 5 to 10+ years of construction experience.
• Several years of experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role within heavy civil, specialty, or geotechnical construction.
• Experience managing deep foundations, earth retention, drilling, shoring, or ground improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and project financials.
• Experience managing multiple projects while maintaining schedule, quality, safety, and budget requirements.
• Strong communication skills with field crews, superintendents, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

Preferred Experience

• Design-build project experience involving shoring, foundations, or specialty geotechnical construction.
• Experience working with union labor and skilled craft teams.
• Experience across both public and private sector projects.
• Experience managing tight-access, technically challenging, or urban construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical construction projects from estimating and preconstruction through execution and closeout.
• Prepare and review estimates, proposals, scopes, and bid packages.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with superintendents and field teams to support safe and efficient project execution.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors against project scope, schedule, quality, and cost requirements.
• Identify project risks and resolve changing site conditions, design issues, and operational constraints.
• Maintain client relationships through clear communication and consistent project delivery.
• Coordinate with engineers and internal teams on design-build projects.
• Review work against contracts, drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage change orders, subcontractor costs, material expenditures, and project financial performance.
• Lead internal project meetings and client-facing project discussions.
• Support jobsite safety initiatives and address project-specific risks.
• Identify operational efficiencies and share lessons learned across project teams.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $100,000 to $140,000, based on experience.
