Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Telemetry Certification Must-Have: IV drip experience Telemetry certification Description: This role is within a Progressive Care Unit. The unit consists of 47 beds. Patient ratios vary from 4 to 6, depending on patient acuity. Staffing includes both day and night shifts with various roles. Equipment utilized includes Alaris pumps, PYXIS machines, and epicardial pacing boxes. Typical procedures performed include blood transfusions, IV drip titration, and medication administration. A positive, team-oriented, and patient-centered attitude is essential. Candidates who have worked in a cardiac unit previously are preferred. This position requires rotating weekends and holidays. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with facility employees.
