Craft Mechanic SupervisorThe Craft Mechanic Supervisor oversees all maritime maintenance activities supporting Naval Special Warfare surface support craft, small boats, jet skis, and associated systems. This role plans, directs, and supervises preventive and corrective maintenance while ensuring compliance with OEM standards, NSW operational requirements, and safety protocols. The supervisor serves as the primary point of contact with Government personnel, manages Craft Mechanics, and ensures maritime assets meet readiness and availability requirements across assigned locations.Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise Craft Mechanics supporting NSW maritime assetsPlan and prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance actionsCoordinate maintenance schedules with Government representativesEnsure compliance with OEM procedures and NSW standardsOversee inspections, repairs, and quality control checksSupport launch, recovery, and trailer maintenance operationsDocument maintenance activities and readiness statusEnforce safety, environmental, and hazardous material proceduresSupport surge, deployment, and training related maintenance requirementsRequired Qualifications:Valid U.S. driver's licenseU.S. citizenship requiredAbility to obtain installation access credentialsAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearanceStrong verbal and written communication skillsCompliance with safety, hazmat, and conduct requirementsCompliance with drugfree workforce standardsMinimum 5 years performing and supervising small craft or marine vessel maintenanceDemonstrated supervisory experience in managing maritime maintenance personnelExperience with outboard and inboard propulsion systemsKnowledge of hull, electrical, fuel, steering, and cooling systemsExperience reading and understanding OEM technical manualsExperience planning and scheduling maritime maintenance activitiesProficiency with maintenance documentation and reportingAbility to lift up to 50 poundsStanding, bending, kneeling, and working in confined vessel spacesWork outdoors in waterfront environmentsExposure to marine weather conditions, fuels, oils, and noiseAbility to work on docks, ramps, and vessels afloat or ashorePhysical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
