Receptionist - Part-time

Job Purpose To meet and greet customers at the dealership, answer and route incoming calls, take messages, receive cash from customers and employees, record the amount received accurately, and perform additional clerical functions as assigned. Schedule Part‑time: alternating days Monday‑Friday, 4:30p.m.–8:30p.m.; alternating Saturdays, 8:00a.m.–8:00p.m. Must be willing and able to work alternating Saturdays and evenings. Job Duties Meet and greet customers in a professional manner. Operate the switchboard telephone system. Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner, striving to minimize hold time. Take and record detailed messages, including caller’s first and last name, company name if applicable, time, and requested message. Provide basic information for general inquiries. Assist with filing duties and other administrative tasks as needed. Prepare sales and service gas tickets for the accounting department. Assist the General Manager with various clerical duties. Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled. Perform other duties as assigned. Remain friendly, professional, courteous, and efficient when working with all customers and employees. Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company’s vision, mission, and values in all interactions. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards. Refer customers with additional questions (e.g., about repair orders) to the service advisor or appropriate individual. Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise, and refer the customer for further communication if necessary. Report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor immediately. Skills and Qualifications Superior customer‑service skills. Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail. Ability to multi‑task and handle several phone calls simultaneously. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience as a dealership and/or recent retail receptionist. Availability to work some evenings and weekends. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Basic computer and office‑machine skills (copier, credit‑card machine, telephone, adding machine). Professional personal appearance. Friendly, helpful attitude toward customers at all times. Authorized to work in the United States. Ability to perform duties safely. Ability to pass pre‑employment testing, including background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid driver’s license. Benefits Medical and dental insurance. 401(k) retirement savings plan.
