Salary Pay Range and Other Compensation : $135,000 - $225,000 annually (DOE) + Benefits

FLSA Status : Exempt

Schedule : Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm; Hybrid after training

About the Role:

This position is responsible for handling commercial and mobile home unlawful detainer matters, including trial work, as well as advising on pre-litigation residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes. The role requires strong client interaction, the ability to manage a high-volume caseload, and a commitment to delivering effective legal representation in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provide legal representation to clients, evaluating case facts and advising on landlord-tenant matters
• Review documents and guide clients through the eviction process
• Conduct client consultations via phone, email, and video conferencing
• Draft legal correspondence, including notices and letters
• Handle unlawful detainer cases through trial as needed
• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Appear in court throughout Southern California
• Collaborate with internal teams and support practice group initiatives
• Complete additional assignments and project-based work as needed
• Meet an annual billable requirement of 1600 hours

Qualifications :

• J.D. and active California Bar license
• Minimum 5+ years of civil litigation experience
• Working knowledge of landlord-tenant law preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred :

• Trial experience
• Experience in the rental housing industry
• Familiarity with Lexis, Westlaw, and case or document management systems
