Campus Support Specialist

JOB TITLE: Campus Support Specialist Position Code: BHSAB2010, BHSPI000, BHISPI000, SPIABI000 QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university -Experience working with students in a school or youth-serving environment JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Provide comprehensive campus supervision and operational support, including oversight of student arrival, class transitions, lunch periods, dismissal, and other high-traffic times.
• Support administrators by managing supervision logistics and addressing campus operational needs, allowing school leaders to focus on instructional leadership and administrative priorities.
• Work with the ISS Coordinator to ensure all ISS expectations from administration are fulfilled.
• Assist administrators with investigating student incidents, including gathering information, responding to calls for service, collecting written statements, and documenting findings.
• Support school administration during student searches and safety-related procedures in accordance with district policies and legal guidelines.
• Monitor and review school security camera systems to assist with incident investigations, campus safety monitoring, and documentation.
• Review and respond to Gaggle safety alerts and Halo monitoring reports, communicating concerns and assisting administration in appropriate follow-up actions.
• Maintain detailed documentation related to behavior, safety, and campus supervision.
• Assist with monitoring student progress related to discipline, behavior interventions, and promotion outcomes, helping ensure students remain on track for academic success.
• Collaborate with administrators, counselors, and teachers to support behavior improvement strategies and student accountability measures.
• Provide proactive campus security support, identifying potential safety concerns and ensuring compliance with school safety procedures.
• Support supervision and coordination of school events, assemblies, and activities requiring enhanced campus monitoring.
• Maintain a highly visible presence across campus to reinforce school expectations and promote a safe, structured learning environment.
• Assist with hall monitoring and verification of student movement during instructional time, ensuring students are in authorized locations.
• Serve as a key operational support resource for administrators, responding to emerging supervision, safety, and student support needs throughout the school day.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff to promote a safe school culture and reinforce behavioral expectations.
• Support and contribute to the MTSS program approach to promote overall wellness within the school
• Work closely with attendance clerk and grade level administrators to encourage student attendance and strategize effective plans to promote attendance to those students identified as truant.
• Other roles and responsibilities as assigned by the school principal. REPORTS TO: The person in this position will report to the school principal or assigned designee. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine and one-half (9 ½) months: Salary Group AB EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions outlined within Board policy.
