Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Operations Specialist Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension About the Opportunity We're partnering with an innovative, fast-growing technology organization to hire an experienced Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Operations Specialist. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing procurement team responsible for keeping purchasing operations running smoothly at scale. This is a hands‑on operations role focused on execution, process excellence, and cross‑functional collaboration—not strategic sourcing or contract negotiations. What You’ll Do Own the end-to-end procurement process from request intake through purchase order creation and release. Review and validate procurement requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before processing. Create, update, and manage purchase orders while ensuring accurate financial and operational data. Resolve procurement issues including PO revisions, change orders, cancellations, invoice discrepancies, and approval exceptions. Partner closely with Accounts Payable, Accounting, Legal, Security, Sourcing, suppliers, and internal business stakeholders to remove operational roadblocks. Investigate recurring process issues, identify root causes, and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and reduce downstream friction. Support month-end close activities by ensuring procurement data is accurate and operational issues are resolved quickly. Help strengthen procurement processes while maintaining high levels of service and operational excellence. What We’re Looking For 4+ years of Procure-to-Pay or Procurement Operations experience. Strong understanding of the complete procurement lifecycle, including intake, purchase orders, invoicing, and downstream financial processes. Experience working in high-volume procurement environments where you've owned transactions from start to finish. Hands‑on experience with procurement and ERP platforms such as Zip, Oracle Fusion, Coupa, SAP, Ariba, or similar systems. Ability to independently resolve complex operational issues with a strong sense of ownership and urgency. Excellent communication skills with experience partnering across Finance, Procurement, Legal, and business teams. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with procurement orchestration platforms such as Zip, Ramp, Oro, Omnia, or similar technologies. Background supporting fast‑paced technology organizations. Experience working within controlled or audit‑ready procurement environments. Passion for identifying opportunities to improve operational processes while maintaining exceptional execution quality.
