This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant passionate about supporting students with a range of needs in a dynamic educational environment. The contract position is based near El Dorado Hills, CA, with full-time, full school year availability required. The caseload involves working with students presenting with mild to severe needs across various school sites as an itinerant clinician.

Applicants must bring expertise in school-based occupational therapy. While this opportunity is primarily for OTs, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) are welcome to apply. For COTAs, we provide virtual OT supervision—but all direct therapy must be delivered onsite, as remote therapy is not permitted. Experience in educational or pediatric settings is essential for COTAs to ensure a high standard of care.

What we’re looking for:

• California licensure as an Occupational Therapist or COTA (active and in good standing)
• Demonstrated experience in a school-based setting (required for COTAs)
• Strong understanding of providing therapy to students with mild to severe disabilities
• Flexibility to travel among multiple school locations (itinerant role)
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary educational teams
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering direct, in-person occupational therapy services to K-12 students
• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
• Documenting services, goals, and student progress according to school and district standards
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student support teams
• Consulting with educators and families to foster inclusive learning environments
