Accounts Receivable Specialist

Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Location: Itasca, Illinois Assignment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $55,000–$60,000 annually, depending on experience Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Job Responsibilities Process daily cash receipts, ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit card payments accurately and timely Apply customer payments to the appropriate accounts and reconcile unapplied cash Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances through B2B collections Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, deductions, and chargebacks Prepare and distribute customer invoices and account statements Reconcile accounts receivable balances and maintain accurate customer account records Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account activity Assist with month-end close by preparing AR reconciliations, aging reports, and journal entry support Maintain organized AR documentation for audit purposes Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 3–5 years of accounts receivable, cash application, or general accounting experience Experience with B2B collections and payment reconciliation preferred Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
