Step into an impactful role supporting 6th grade students as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis for the 2026-27 school year. In this position, you'll work with a manageable caseload of 12-14 students, fostering growth and success in an inclusive educational environment near Lake Mills, WI.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Special Education Teacher certification (current and in good standing)
- Experience developing and delivering specially designed instruction
- Familiarity with providing interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Confidence in managing and maintaining IEP documentation
- Strong communication skills for effective parent and staff engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted interventions and specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
- Lead, schedule, and conduct IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, and other support staff
- Maintain up-to-date progress data, educational documentation, and student records
- Build positive relationships with families to foster open, ongoing communication related to student growth
- Participate in any required professional development or team planning sessions
