Senior Coding Educator

Serving as a subject matter expert in medical record coding, the full-time remote Senior Coding Educator will provide education and training to clinical providers and staff, design training curricula, conduct audits, and lead projects to enhance clinical documentation quality. Key responsibilities Design and implement educational curricula for coding-related processes and initiatives Conduct monthly audits and quality reviews to ensure compliance with clinical documentation and coding guidelines Lead projects aimed at improving the quality of clinical documentation and final coding for billing purposes Required qualifications Bachelor's degree plus six years of health care coding experience, including two years of auditing experience, or equivalent experience One of the following certifications: CCS, CPMA, CPC, COC, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, or CIC Expertise in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems Experience with automated patient care and coding systems, preferably Cerner products Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook)
