High School Math Teacher: Algebra I (26-27 School Year)

Who We Are Intrepid College Prep is a network of free, college‑preparatory public charter schools located in the Antioch area of Greater Nashville, Tennessee. We educate scholars at two campuses: Opportunity Academy Middle School and Independence Academy High School. Our 5‑12 model provides a rigorous, college‑preparatory education for eight years and supports scholars’ transition to college and beyond. Our open‑enrollment policy means scholars do not need an entrance test or tuition. Responsibilities Internalize, accommodate, and execute our rigorous, college‑preparatory curriculum including daily lesson plans, unit plans, and scope and sequence. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure academic growth for EL students and students with disabilities. Use structured planning time and professional development to design high‑quality lessons. Engage in a community where teaching is public—participating in classroom visits, publishing curriculum, observing, and giving feedback. Share teaching strategies, visit peer classrooms, and analyze academic achievement data to develop best practice. Commit to a school culture of consistency and high expectations by implementing school‑wide systems, structures, and procedures. Be available and willing to participate in after‑school programs as needed. Be available and willing to engage in a limited number of optional evening/weekend student recruitment and community outreach events as needed. Perform other school success duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid Tennessee certification in the appropriate content area, with a track record of data‑driven achievement. Hold a B.A./B.S. degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred in an urban public school or charter school. Degree in subject area intended to teach preferred but not required. Teacher salaries are determined by the ICP salary scale based on years of teaching experience. Starting salary (Year 0) for a certified teacher with zero experience is $53,000.
