Precision Calibration is a well-established calibration laboratory serving customers throughout Texas and across the United States. We are currently seeking an experienced Metrology Technician to join our growing team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working with precision measurement equipment, and being part of a stable company where their contributions are valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, testing, and certification of dimensional and other measurement instruments in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and identify instruments that are damaged, malfunctioning, or outside acceptable tolerances.

• Utilize and maintain precision measurement equipment, standards, and calibration systems.

• Document calibration results and maintain accurate records in accordance with ISO 17025 and company requirements.

• Assist with laboratory organization, equipment maintenance, and other metrology-related responsibilities.

• Communicate technical findings clearly to supervisors, coworkers, and customers when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Calibration Technician, Metrology Technician, or related technical position.

• Strong understanding of dimensional metrology and torque calibration.

• Experience with additional disciplines such as pressure, temperature, electrical, force, mass, or flow calibration is a plus.

• Ability to read technical specifications, procedures, and calibration requirements.

• Working knowledge of measurement uncertainty, traceability, and calibration best practices preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Proficiency with computers and calibration software.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
