Role Overview The LOA & Workers’ Compensation Specialist assists in the administration of various Leave of Absence (LOA) programs and the Workers’ Compensation program, supporting HR and ensuring compliance. Duties include managing benefits billing, coordinating with HR Business Partners, maintaining records, and providing support for ADA and interactive processes. Key Responsibilities Administer and monitor employee LOA programs, ensuring deadlines and regulations are met. Process and monitor On-the-Job Injury claims. Manage LOA benefit billing process and respond to inquiries. Support employee relations functions and internal investigations such as EEOC claims. Assist in administration of Frontier’s LOA and Workers’ Compensation programs. Essential Functions (Percentages) In partnership with others in the LOA department—administer and monitor employee LOA programs (65%) Assist in processing and monitoring initial On-the-Job Injury claims (10%) Assist in administration of LOA and Workers’ Compensation programs (10%) Track and answer inquiries for benefit billing process and assist in the administration of LOA Benefit Billing process (10%) Support employee relations functions by serving as an advisor in processing EEOC and other internal investigations, and provide support related to ADA/Interactive processes (5%) Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Human Resources required; equivalent combination of business experience and college-level education considered. Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible roles in a corporate setting. High school diploma or GED required. Professional in Human Resources certification a plus. Experience in Workers’ Compensation administration preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of HIPAA, USERRA, and FMLA guidelines. Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation regulations. License or certification in Workers’ Compensation preferred. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Strong customer service skills and ability to remain composed under pressure. Ability to focus and adapt to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Intermediate PC skills for word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and presentations. Familiarity with standard HR functions. Analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Supervision Received General supervision: routine work within established policies, detailed instructions on new projects, and assignments.
