Medical Assistant 3The Medical Assistant 3 is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant 3 performs advanced administrative, operational, customer support tasks that require independent initiative and judgment.The Medical Assistant 3 performs clinical responsibilities. These responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and performing diagnostic screening tests. Additionally, the Medical Assistant 3 sterilizes and cleans equipment, maintains examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions typically focus on methods and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. The Medical Assistant 3 has advanced skills, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth training, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.Required QualificationsCertified or RegisteredPhlebotomy experienceMedication/vaccine administration experience1+ years MA experienceCurrent/Active CPR CertificationTravel to other clinicsThis role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
