Job Title: Transplant Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of transplant experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: Required certifications per unit description Must-Have: - Experience with recipient procedures involved in liver transplant - Strong transplant experience Description: The position involves working in a transplant operating room. Responsible for pre-screening patients for liver transplant procedures. Requires experience in abdominal transplants including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral transplants. Night coverage is required during weekend shifts, with an additional rotating weekday. Call and holiday duties are mandatory. Candidates should be open to floating within the facility as needed. All staff will manage a range of patient diagnoses specifically related to transplant surgeries. Floating to an affiliate hospital may be necessary. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. All applicants must provide two supervisor references. In this role, compliance with hospital policies is essential. Experience in related activities within surgical services is preferred. A focus on teamwork and interdisciplinary support is vital for patient care excellence. This position is suited for individuals with strong backgrounds in transplant nursing. Travelers must have a valid nursing license in hand prior to the start date.
