Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments alongside therapeutic observations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, fluency, voice modulation, and safe swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate effectively with physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, medical professionals, and family members to create cohesive patient care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate continued progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining a seamless continuum of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Ensure meticulous and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through education and collaborative engagement with peers.

Education Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet acquired.

Certifications Needed

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
