We invite you to join our innovative team to help make a positive difference in the lives of the children and families of Illinois.Essential FunctionsServes as Human Resources ManagerServes as assistant to the Deputy Director regarding sensitive and potentially controversial issuesServes as full line supervisorRepresents the Deputy Director and the Department at appropriate administrative and programmatic meetingsCoordinates meetings and events on behalf of the Deputy DirectorResearches issues and compiles information in response to inquiries relating to human resources documents, files, and recordsPerforms other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated aboveMinimim QualificationsRequires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college.Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private organization in the field of human resources.Preferred QualificationsPrefers three years of professional experience providing high level professional assistance to the human resources director of a public or private organization.Prefers three years of coordinating, supervising, or conducting recruitment events for a public or private organization.Prefers two years of experience supervising staff in an office setting.Prefers completion of a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or public administration.Prefers three years of professional experience serving in a liaison capacity for a public or private organization.Prefers three years of experience serving as a representative of their supervisor for a public or private organization.Conditions of Employment1.
