Outside Sales Representative

Full-Time | Base Salary + Commission + Year-End Sales Bonus

Brandy Rice with The Forum Group PNW is working with a highly respected client with a strong reputation as a regional and national leader in the hydraulics and heavy equipment industry based in Central Oregon to find an experienced, motivated Outside Sales Representative who is ready to take ownership of a territory and build long-term customer relationships. The right candidate can be located in Central Oregon, Eastern Oregon, Western Idaho or Southeastern Washington.

This is an excellent opportunity for a goal-oriented sales professional who enjoys being in the field, developing new business, and managing a territory with a high level of independence. You will have the autonomy to manage your day while also having the support of an experienced internal team.

This position requires regular Monday–Friday travel throughout the assigned territory . Travel schedules will vary based on customer needs, route planning, training, and territory development. Company vehicle and travel expenses are provided.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while actively identifying and pursuing new business.
• Manage an assigned sales territory with a focus on increasing revenue, expanding customer accounts, and developing new opportunities.
• Plan and execute daily customer visits and sales calls to meet or exceed established sales goals.
• Create and continuously improve territory routes to maximize customer coverage and minimize unnecessary travel.
• Analyze customer activity, sales trends, and territory performance to determine where to focus your time and resources.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and solutions.
• Prepare pricing, negotiate with customers, and close sales while maintaining company profitability expectations.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, opportunities, and pipeline information.
• Partner closely with internal departments to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and customers receive excellent service.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, competitors, and customer needs.
• Safely tow trailers and transport equipment when required, including properly distributing and securing heavy loads.
• Maintain an understanding of applicable DOT requirements within the states traveled.

What We're Looking For

• Previous successful outside sales experience with a demonstrated track record of managing and growing a territory.
• Knowledge of fluid power, hydraulics, heavy equipment, and/or the construction equipment industry is essential.
• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
• A self-motivated, goal-oriented approach with the ability to work independently.
• Strong personal accountability and the ability to manage performance without constant supervision.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational, territory management, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to analyze territory performance and make adjustments to improve productivity and sales results.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing customer and business needs.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
• Familiarity with towing trailers, load distribution, securing heavy loads, and applicable DOT regulations.
