Assembler (Sub-Zero) - 2nd shift

The Assembler position will support department goals regarding quality and quantity of production in a safe and respectful manner. Specific tasks may vary at different workstation assignments and as different product models are manufactured. Responsibilities Assemble parts per work instruction into high quality product utilizing tools and fixtures Utilize test equipment to ensure product is assembled correctly per quality expectations and other standards Visually inspect parts and product for defects such as scratches, dents, slugs, pinched wires, etc. Utilize workstation computer to read schedule, match parts to work orders, view work instructions, scan parts into inventory software, etc. Adhere to safety standards Uphold quality expectations Train employees on procedures and techniques Housekeeping and workstation organization tasks Other duties as assigned Shift Schedule 2nd shift hours are normally Monday - Friday, 1:30pm - 9:30pm 3rd shift hours are normally Sunday - Thursday, 9:30pm - 5:30am Employees must be available to also work 3rd shift due to unexpected shift assignment changes. This position requires a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check, which will be administered after a conditional job offer is extended. A negative drug/alcohol test result is required for employment. Refusal to take the test or a positive result may disqualify a candidate from further consideration. All drug testing will be conducted in accordance with federal and state laws. Qualifications Required Ability to perform repetitive line assembly tasks Ability to lift up to 40 lb Ability to perform body movements including reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, turning, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and fine manipulation Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day Ability to work with fiberglass, plastic, glue, and insulation Ability to visually inspect details to spot defects Ability to adhere to strict attendance standards Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment Ability to work both in a team environment and independently Has strong attention to detail and desire for precision and accuracy to uphold quality standards Preferred Familiarity with small hand tools Prior experience in assembly or manufacturing Licenses & Certifications Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
