The 1badge Security Administrator Associate, is responsible for supporting EY's physical access control and badge management program across a diverse portfolio of office locations. This role administers employee and contractor access permissions, produces and manages security badges, supports onboarding and transfer activities, coordinates secure-space access, and partners with Workplace Experience, Facilities Asset Management, and Physical Security teams to ensure a secure and seamless employee experience.

The position plays a critical role in maintaining access governance controls, security compliance requirements, and operational service levels while providing exceptional support to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Access & Badge Management

• Administer the firm's 1Badge access control platform and associated security systems.
• Produce, issue, replace, and deactivate employee, contractor, and visitor access badges.
• Process access requests, permission changes, transfers, terminations, and office moves in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Support biometric access solutions and secure-space access administration where applicable.
• Maintain accurate badge and access records to ensure compliance with security standards.

Security Operations Support

• Investigate and resolve turnstile access issues, badge malfunctions, and access-related incidents.
• Coordinate with Physical Security, Workplace Experience, and office leadership to address access control concerns.
• Assist in managing security-related escalations and service requests.
• Support business continuity activities related to physical access systems and badge operations.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

• Facilitate badge issuance and access provisioning for new hires, Early Careers participants, contractors, and transferring employees.
• Ensure timely and accurate access setup to support a positive employee onboarding experience.
• Provide responsive customer support for badge and access-related inquiries.

Data Management & Reporting

• Generate operational reports and dashboards related to badge administration and access control activities.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to maintain system accuracy.
• Monitor work queues and assignment portfolios to ensure service-level expectations are met.
• Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and governance reporting.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with Workplace Experience, Facilities Asset Management, Physical Security, HR, and local office leadership.
• Support office-specific initiatives, security projects, and operational improvements.
• Participate in process enhancement efforts to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and security compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in security operations, access control administration, facilities operations, workplace services, or related operational functions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
• Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies, trends, and operational risks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with physical access control systems, badge management platforms, or identity/access administration tools.
• Familiarity with security governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Experience supporting large enterprise environments with multiple office locations.
• Knowledge of workplace operations, facilities management, or physical security programs.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is:
• • New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $69,700 to $115,100
  • Bay Area California offices – $72,600 to $119,900
  • All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $58,100 to $105,500
• Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
