Job Title: Production Associate Job Overview

Join a large, modern manufacturing facility in the eastern Indianapolis area as a Production Associate . In this role, you will operate industrial machinery and support high-quality production on either 2nd or 3rd shift. You will work with multiple machines, utilize hand and power tools, and follow detailed quality and documentation procedures while completing a comprehensive, paid training program.

• Safely and efficiently operate multiple industrial machines (typically up to four at a time).
• Set up and adjust machines using basic hand and power tools, including tooling changes.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Perform repetitive lifting and movement of materials throughout the production process.
• Accurately document materials, batch numbers, and production data per internal procedures.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to maintain machine performance and minimize downtime.
• Support production tasks including mechanical assembly, press operation, laser operation, and CNC processes.
• Read and interpret work instructions and basic blueprints.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Stand and work for 8–12 hours in a warm to hot production environment.
• Participate in a structured training program combining classroom and hands-on learning.
• Work overtime (2–4 hours beyond scheduled shifts) and occasional Saturdays as needed.

• Minimum of 1 year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Stable work history with at least 1 year in previous roles.
• Ability to safely operate multiple machines simultaneously.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical processes.
• Experience with hand and power tools for setup and adjustments.
• Ability to use measuring tools (e.g., calipers) for quality inspection.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and stand for extended periods.
• Basic ability to read and follow work instructions and simple blueprints.
• Flexibility to train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd or 3rd shift.

• Experience in mechanical assembly.
• Experience with press operation, laser cutting, or CNC machining.
• Basic troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with large-scale industrial production facilities.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn through both classroom and hands-on training.

This position is based in a large, approximately one-million-square-foot manufacturing facility in eastern Indianapolis. The production floor is clean and well maintained, though some areas operate in a hot environment.

• Training Schedule (1st Shift): ~6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday (12–15 weeks)
• Post-Training Shifts:
  • 2nd Shift: ~2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
  • 3rd Shift: ~10:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Sunday–Thursday)

Employees will stand and move throughout the shift while operating machinery and handling materials. Standard industrial safety gear and appropriate work attire are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, IN.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Greenfield,IN.
