Registered Nurse (RN) - Trauma Step Down Department 34410 Carolinas Medical Center - Nursing: Med Surg 11A Status Full time Benefits Eligible Yes Hours Per Week 36 Schedule Details 3, 12 hour shifts per week Holiday rotation Weekend rotation Pay Range $38.20 - $57.30 Where You Will Work 11A Trauma Step-Down is a 24‑bed unit that provides care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. 11A is exclusively a trauma floor and works with the Surgical Trauma Service to care for stable patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chest and abdominal trauma (blunt force or penetrating), and orthopedic injuries resulting from trauma. Carolinas Medical Center is the region’s only Level 1 trauma center. Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association 6 months of RN experience Responsibilities As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skillful communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
